Calm in the Keys

Last weekend G and I headed out on our first romantic getaway... ever. Yup, nearly nine years and we finally got around to getting away, just the two of us. Between school, trips with our friends, job hunting, weddings and everything else life threw our way, we just couldn't seem to find the time. It was really nice to make it a priority.

Key West was a no-brainer. Close to Miami but still far enough to feel like a getaway, it was an easy drive down for a long weekend. Not only that, but the last time I was there I was only 19, so I couldn't enjoy any of the tropical beverages that Jimmy Buffett and The Beach Boys raved about.

I made a decision that bikinis would be work under everything, and all outfits would show off a little bit of bikini. The back on this dress slays me and it was pretty enough to wear out to a nice dinner out with G during out first night on the island. We headed over to Cafe Marquesa.

The espadrilles and sunhat make their second appearance because they are just so cute. How could you not bring them on a tropical getaway?
