Black and Chambray
My brand new Dr. Marten's pretty much sum up my feelings about life currently... it's a battle, and I'm going to beat it. This month was supposed to be NaNoWriMo time for me and, as usual, my best-laid plans get a big ol' monkey wrench thrown at them. Now I'm going to have to double up on my daily word count if I hope to finish my novel on time.
Is it just me, or has 2016 been completely insane?
Some times you just have to put on your big girl pants (and boots) and kick some butt. It helps if those boots are floral, too. Better remind them I'm a woman while I'm knocking down the door.
I love wearing this chambray top as a layering piece, especially somewhere like Miami where the weather doesn't usually call for warm layers. It feels fall without being too bulky. Plus, it's great for any tough-chick look. It's kind of like my version of the Hillary Clinton pantsuit.
What's your go-to woman power uniform?
Style Notes and Outfit Details
Chambray Top via Nordstrom (similar) // It's been in every capsule so far, and I don't think I'll be able to let it go for my winter capsule. It's so versatile, I feel completely at-ease wearing it year-round! Now that's a great buy.
White Tee via Forever 21 // Currently my favorite tees, they're so affordable that if it gets stained (and white tees always do) they're painless to replace. Thank goodness for that.
Jeans via Levi's // These. Jeans. Though. Obsessed is an understatement. I've been holding off on wearing skinnies for the last month or so in order to let my tattoo heal properly, and now that I can wear them again I'm taking full advantage of it.
Boots are Dr. Martens via Nordstrom Rack // When I was originally looking for Dr. Martens in a plain leather, but these were just too good to pass up. Why would you ever say no to a floral combat boot?
Bag via Free People (vegan, also love this one) // Vegan. Leather. My obsession with this awesome army green bag knows no bounds. Cross-body is just about my favorite style ever, because I'm big on being hands-free when I'm out-and-about.
Bracelets c/o Plum Flower Creations, BCBGeneration (also love this one) and c/o PuraVida // It's been a hot minute since I've worn an arm party, and this local brass piece from Plum Flower creations, leather band from BCBGeneration and easy threaded piece from PuraVida make the perfect low-key party.
Sunglasses via Ray-Ban // Wayfarers, my go-to. 'Nuff said.
Earrings via Target // I'm absolutely obsessed with Target's stud collections. They're very on-trend and crazy affordable, so you don't have to spend tons of money on a bunch of studs that could go out of style really quickly. Most of them are classic, though, so I'm not too worried about these being passé anytime soon.
I've been surfing online over three hours today, yet I never discovered any fascinating article like yours. It's really sufficiently worth for me. As I would see it, if all website admins and bloggers made great substance as you did, the web will be significantly more helpful than any other time in recent memory. Organic Tattoo aftercare
