To Thine Own Self Be True
I couldn't tell you what people assume about me when they first meet me, but I can tell you that they don't expect me to be nerdy. That side of me comes out later, usually through talks about video games, Star Wars or anything related to anime.
That's when people look at me and say, "I had no idea you were into that kind of stuff."

For a long time I've been trying to put myself in this fashionista box, not really remembering that it's when you're true to who you are that you gain the most respect and admiration. So here I am, No Face tights and all, putting myself out there.
Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, too. That's when you reap the most rewards.

ReplyDeleteI think people's assumptions are the same about me. I wear lots of frilly dresses and fix my hair all fancy--lots of makeup. But then talks about the Silent Hill games and the Alien book series come up, and I'm in my zone! It just goes to show you how that saying is so true..."you can't judge a book by its cover." Or a girl by her outfit.

Love this! I definitely don't come across as nerdy either, but LOVE all things Lord of the Rings and have a quite the collection of fandom jewelry:) I love the feminine touch that the lace and those shoes add to the look- such a good combination!
