Leather in Lakeland: Determining Your Fall Pieces
It didn't take long when thinking over my fall capsule to decide on getting a new leather jacket. My old gray one took me everywhere, but ultimately it felt too boxy and stiff. I needed something with a little more give. This one is made of French terry and vegan leather, and it fits me really nicely while also giving me the warmth factor that I'm looking for.
The fact that it's a tri-tone neutral? It only makes the jacket that much cooler. When I tried it on a woman walked buy me and said, "That jacket looks INCREDIBLE on you."
Sold.
Style Notes and Outfit Details
Leather Jacket from Blank NYC // This is a fall/winter must-have for me, so I'm glad I was able to replace my old one with a version that I love even more.
Jeans from Levi's // The best jeans ever. If you've read my blog for long you know my current obsession with high-waisted skinnies. I don't think I'll ever go back.
Tee from Forever 21 // Inexpensive and basic basic basic. You'll always need a wardrobe staple like this tee.
Booties from Target (similar) // These booties have carried me since summer 2013, and they're not going anywhere any time soon (unless I see those Mark Jacobs granny booties again, then these ones can kiss my fickle butt goodbye).
Bag from LF Stores (similar) // Part chain strap, part oversize clutch, totally versatile. Though now that it's older the chain strap gave me an awful rash on my back and collar bone that required a quick spray of Benadryl so get rid of, so now it's strictly a clutch. I could see myself getting a higher-quality version of this bag in the near future.
Sunglasses from NastyGal (similar) // So arguably the gold nose bridge is SO Miami, but I think it's really on trend, edgy but also feminine. All good things. ;)
