I remember back-to-school shopping with my mother when I was a kid. It was always so full of promise, I could reinvent myself through my wardrobe. I got to decide who I was going to be for the new school year. When my mother would take me out to pick my clothes, Gap was always one of the stops we made in our shopping trips. I'd try on every style of jean and pick out as many tops as I could fit in the dressing room. My mother would have to severely edit my selections so that I didn't walk out with half of the store.
