I love taking vintage and bringing it new life with more modern pieces. Memorial Day is the perfect opportunity to mix old and new. Not only did I wear some patriotic vintage by donning a turquoise bracelet and clutch, but the heels make me think of a 50's pin-up girl. It gave that look a little more of that classic American vibe.

No matter what a white button-down, jeans and sexy sandals have been an American staple. Even now, this feels modern, not even remotely dated. It was the perfect outfit to wear to a Memorial Day barbecue. It was just the right amount of new with a touch of the old.

Thanks to all who served and are serving in the armed forces. It's because of your bravery that we can lead such comfortable, and free, lives.
