Marriage has come up a lot lately. Marriage and taking the next step. Maybe that's just the age we're in. Maybe we're all expected to find the right one and settle down. Have I thought about marriage? Sure. Have I ever had a timeline? Nope.

I have been called both weird and wildly independent for not having any burning desire to take the next step. Maybe I am weird, but I definitely know I'm independent. You know what, that's not a bad thing. I don't want to have to rely on another person. If there's anything I learned this year it's that I need to be a whole person that can take care of themselves before I add another person into the equation.

The wedding will come. For now, I'm just going to do me.
